Reflecting on Our First Music Series
Bighorn employees and friends join up for jam session on the patio
Last Sunday we wrapped up the final summer music event on the patio at Bighorn. Playing to a standing-room-only crowd—the biggest gathering of its kind to date—pre-roll extraordinaire Ben Guihan led a four-person jam session, following a solo set by Taos art-scene reporter Richard Aufrichtig. The experimental jam, described by Ben as “desert ambient, rock-adjacent,” featured another Bighorn employee, Bekah VanHorn, along with mutual friends Brian Mustari and Amy Rostkowski. “At one point things were getting pretty out there. I looked up and was happy to see the crowd was into it as well,” Ben recalled.
Live music has been part of Bighorn since opening day. Ben was in the lineup of local musicians at the inaugural Taos Cannabis Festival nearly 2½ years ago. It feels really cool and special to see his creative contributions to the corner grow throughout this summer’s series of six shows.
Naturally, I asked Ben what we should do next. Fall shows on the patio (yay heaters!) will be announced here first. It pays to be a free subscriber :)
Just a bit of business this week: we launched the Bighorn Weed Pure Cannabis Oil Cartridge! Our oil is minimally processed from organic flower into high-grade goodness. Nothing added—no artificial flavors, colors, or even “natural” botanicals or terpenes. Just oil. It’s the most affordable 1g cart on the menu, and it comes with a battery, so you’re good to go.
Mention this week’s code word — PURE CANNABIS OIL — at the shop for 25% off a Pure Cannabis Oil cart.
See you on the corner,
Steve

Was any of this recorded? I'd like to hear it!
